AUGUST 2009 NEWSLETTER
Our Annual Club Family Picnic will be held on Saturday, September 19 in conjunction with the Newark Days Car Show at the Newark Community Center Park, hopefully you all have sent in your registration for the show. If for some reason you aren’t going to show your car, please plan on joining us for the picnic. The club will supply tri tip, hot dogs, and hamburgers, the condiments to go with the BBQ, soft drinks, plates, and eating utensils. If everyone brings a pot luck dish we will have plenty to go around for everyone. Gil will purchase the meat and again be the master chef.
The club co-sponsored the Shriners First Annual Car Show on August 22, 2009 and all that attended had a great time. The following members won a trophy plaque for their classic, Dan Bobbit, Ron Brutvan, Ralph Marinai, John Pappas, John Sargent.
We have another new member, Rob Antonio, please introduce your self and welcome him into the club.
A suggestion was made at our last meeting that the club host a Holiday Diner for members and their significant other, some of the places mentioned were, Spin & Yarn, Becks, Swiss Park and Home Town, if you have any suggestions on a good place to go please give your input to Matt, Ramon, Gil or Ron. Please get price for the meal and a menu of what the members could choose from. We would expect around 70 people to attend.
Sergio has a friend that is giving away parts for 1968 Electra, 1965 Pontiac, 1975 Lincoln, attached is a copy of the parts he is giving away, contact Sergio is you need any more information.
Remember our regularly scheduled meeting is on the third Wednesday of the month, the next meeting will be on Wednesday 9-16, 2009, we look forward to seeing everyone at Fremont Ford at 6:30PM.
