APRIL 2010 NEWSLETTER
Our Annual Car Show is scheduled for Saturday, May 15th, Jim Overman is heading up the effort to get Raffle Prizes and goody bag stuffers, please see Jim and give him any items you obtain. The cutoff for the $25.00 show registration is Friday 4-30-2010, if you haven’t sent yours in please do so ASAP (only 12 members have registered so far). After Friday the fee goes up to $30.00 and we can’t guarantee a tee shirt in your size will be available. Attached is a car show flyer.
We have 3 new members , Jerry King with a 1969 Corvette - - Robert Molis with a 1971 Chevelle SS572 - David Sullivan with a 1973 Camero, please introduce yourself to them welcome the new members to the club.
Matt Herrera is trying to get photo’s of all club members cars for the Rotating Picture Frame in Dino’s, he will be at Dino’s on Saturday May 1 at 8:00 A.M. Here is a list of members that he needs a picture of their classic

Remember our regularly scheduled meeting is on the third Wednesday of the month, the next meeting will be on Wednesday 5-19- 2010, we look forward to seeing everyone at Fremont Ford at 6:30PM.
Actions underway or (still) in progress
John Pappas will to check with the web designer to see if what needs to be done to our web site to add an advertisement page in some form of other, what options are there that can be done and what is the cost of the modifications required?
John Sargent will check to see if we need another table for our Friday evening get-togethers, Dave Winn and Matt have volunteered extra tables for our annual car show. The club purchased a storage shed and John Sargent has offered his back yard to keep the shed in.
Dick Modzeleski will contact the Newark City Manager, John Becker to see if the club can get a city proclamation.
The club decided that we will get a pen with the Classic Cruisers USA on it rather than Goody Bags, we will purchase them after our car show. One of our sponsors has donated pens for our upcoming show.
George Pocan will get information on how and when the club can participate in the selection of the student that we want to get our scholarship donation.
Gil will get details on a car show at the VA in Livermore, there will still be the show in Menlo Park, we think the show in Livermore will be on a Saturday and the one in Menlo Park on a Sunday, more information to come as we get it.
John Sargent will contact Fremont Ford to see if we can do another car show on their lot, he will also contact Larry and Loretta to see if we can have our car show listed on the site.
Per Dick Modzeleski Big O Tires offered to give club members a 10% discount, I think it will be a program similar to Vic Hubbard, Sarge to contact Heath Fulgar to get details.
Attached is the Car Show Check List and please review and comment to insure we have all actions items addressed to make this show a success.
